Acceptance: "Different"

Hello world ! Today I chose an alternative rock band named Acceptance to post about.

This band was formed in 1998 in Seattle, Washington. They only had one album called, Phantoms, and three EPs. Sadly this band broke up in 2006 and their former guitarist Christian McAlhaney posted the following message on their site:
"You see, there comes a time in a band member’s life where he must choose between the abnormal life of a gypsy rock musician and the normal life of the common man. Jason, our beloved lead singer, has chosen the latter and decided to take on the yoke of the common man. HOWEVER, the rest of us do not share in this desire for normalcy and have decided to continue in our pursuit of rock stardom. You should all be expecting to hear a new kick ace rocking project from Nick, Kyle, and I, as well as a new project from Kaylan and a bunch of secret people that I can't talk about right now."
This band has gone through a lot and have all gone their separate ways. I believe they were a great band and its a shame to see them split because the song i picked to show to you all is quite good ! Its called Different, check it out...

Well thank you for listening and come back soon for more song recommendations(:

Colbie Calliat : "I Do"

So summer is coming to a close and I thought it would be a great idea to keep the spirit of summer alive for just a little bit longer by posting this next song by Colbie Calliat!

Colbie was born May 28, 1985 (Yay May birthdays :D) in Malibu, California. Her first album was named Coco after her nickname that her parents gave her as an infant. And get this, she auditioned for American Idol twice and was rejected both times! Surprisingly she thanked them for saying no, for at the time she was not ready for it. She has three albums, Coco, Breakthrough, and her latest, All of You.

The song I picked is actually a very popular song out there right now called, "I Do" from her newest album All of You.

Well I hope this helped your summery needs and continue to listen to Colbie !

Stephan Jerzak was born May 5, 1992 in La Crosse, WI. He began playing guitar at the age of twelve and his top hit song is "Cute" also his top single is "She Said" feat. Leighton Meester, two very good songs.

The song I chose to show you all today is "Hula Dance", a cute and romantic song that will be hard for you to not love !

J. R. Richards: "A Beautiful End"

Hello everyone !

So today I thought I'd pick a sad but very touching song that might make you cry. This song is A Beautiful End by J. R. Richards.

J. R. Richards (AKA John Robert Richards) music career didn't start off as a solo artist. In 1994, he was in a band called Dishwalla as the lead singer. They were popular all the way up to 2006 when John decided to go solo.

A Beautiful End became a huge hit in 2009 and personally is one of my top ten favorite songs. Check it out.

John lives in Santa Barbara with his wife, Shannon, and their only child. I hope you enjoy him!

Imogen Heap: "Hide and Seek"

Hola!

So todays special music pick is by a wonderful artist, Imogen Heap. She has a very unique style of music that I, myself, am very found of.

She is from Havering, London, England and, not like most artists, does 8 different styles of music. Electronic, alternative, indie, synthpop, ambient, trip hop, rock, and classical

The song I picked is my favorite, Hide and Seek.

A lot of you may already know this song without even knowing it. Jason Derulo's "Whatcha Say" that was released in 2009 has samples of this very song in it. Check it out.

Well thanks again for checking out my blog, come visit again and tell your friends !
